Murang’a University of Technology (MUT) continues to lead regional climate resilience, digital agriculture, and agro-industrialisation efforts. In partnership with AFOSI and STEM Impact Center Kenya, MUT experts facilitated a 4-day Parliamentary Exchange Programme in Nairobi for the STI Committee of the Parliament of Uganda under the theme “Agriculture as an Accelerated Production Pillar within the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Ecosystem.”
MUT experts Prof. Dorothy Amwata and Dr. George Mose facilitated a comprehensive workshop covering Climate-Smart Agriculture, Modern Farming Technologies, Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight, Auditing of Climate Projects, Digital Agriculture, Agricultural Mechanization, and Agro-Industrialization.

Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) is an integrated approach to managing landscapes—cropland, livestock, forests and fisheries–that address the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change.Climate-smart agriculture includes techniques such as agroforestry, intercropping, conservation agriculture, crop rotation, integrated crop-livestock management and improved water management.
